John McGauley, President and Owner, worked for a succession of daily newspapers and established an outstanding track record as a journalist and feature writer. John went on to join the Associated Press as a member of its Chicago bureau. While at Associated Press, John accepted an offer to join DePauw University as its media relations director and served in that capacity until joining Gehrung Associates in 1988. He is a frequent speaker and national expert on the marketing of higher education, and is a sought-after consultant to many college and university presidents. He also serves as a management consultant to university presidents and vice presidents, conducting for them evaluations, assessments, and re-organization strategies for communications offices. |
